GH3 for event work

Can a GH3 handle event work or am I better off getting a camcorder? Some of my event work is outside and can be as long as 3 hours of continuous shooting. I have a new camcorder coming Friday which is a Panasonic AG90 but I need a second camera. Is is best to get another AG90? I would love to have a GH3 for my other higher end jobs but I cannot afford all of them at once.
